Advanced Proxy Checker

Test proxy servers for anonymity, speed, and reliability. Check HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies with detailed geolocation and security analysis.

100% browser-based — no backend required. Your proxy data never leaves your device.

What is a Proxy Checker?

A proxy checkeris an essential network tool that validates proxy servers by testing their connectivity, measuring response times, and analyzing anonymity levels. Whether you're managing a proxy pool for web scraping, ensuring privacy protection, or verifying proxy configurations, our advanced proxy tester provides comprehensive insights into proxy performance and security.

Our tool supports all major proxy protocols including HTTP proxies, HTTPS proxies, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxies. It detects whether a proxy is transparent (reveals your real IP), anonymous (hides your IP but identifies as a proxy), or elite/high-anonymous (complete stealth mode), helping you choose the right proxy for your specific use case.

How to Check Proxy Anonymity and Speed

1

Enter Proxy Details

Input your proxy IP address or hostname, port number, and select the protocol type (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, or SOCKS5).

2

Authentication (Optional)

If your proxy requires authentication, click the auth button to enter username and password credentials securely.

3

Analyze Results

Review the detailed report showing response time, anonymity level, geolocation data, and whether your real IP is exposed.

Transparent Proxies

Reveal your real IP address in HTTP headers (HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR). Often used by ISPs and companies for caching but provide no privacy protection.

Low Privacy

Anonymous Proxies

Hide your real IP address but identify themselves as proxies through HTTP headers. Good for basic privacy but detectable by advanced systems.

Medium Privacy

Elite/High Anonymous

Complete anonymity — hides your IP and doesn't reveal proxy usage. No proxy headers sent. Ideal for privacy, scraping, and bypassing restrictions.

High Privacy

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about proxy checking and anonymity testing

A proxy checker is a tool that tests proxy servers for functionality, speed, and anonymity level. It works by routing requests through the proxy and analyzing the response headers to detect if your real IP is exposed, if the proxy modifies requests, and measuring connection latency.

Technical Proxy Detection Methods

HTTP Header Analysis

Our proxy checker analyzes headers like HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR, HTTP_VIA, and HTTP_PROXY_CONNECTION to determine if your real IP is exposed or if the proxy identifies itself.

Response Time Measurement

We measure the complete round-trip time (RTT) from initial connection through data transfer to disconnection, providing accurate latency metrics for performance evaluation.

Geolocation Verification

Using the detected outgoing IP address, we determine the physical location, ISP, and hosting provider to verify if the proxy location matches expectations.

Protocol Compliance

We verify proper implementation of HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 protocols, checking for CONNECT method support and proper handshake procedures.

Browser-Based Checking Notes

This tool runs entirely in your browser with no backend server. Your proxy details are never sent to our servers — all checks are performed client-side using public IP detection APIs.

Limitations: Due to browser security policies (CORS, mixed content), some proxies may appear unreachable even if they work with native tools like curl or proxychains. SOCKS4/SOCKS5 proxies cannot be natively tested from browsers and rely on reachability probes. For the most accurate results with SOCKS proxies, consider using a command-line tool.

Geolocation: Location data is fetched from the free ip-api.com service and is limited to 45 requests per minute. For bulk checks, results may be throttled.
